International Graphite’s Springdale Graphite Project is located in the Shire of Ravensthorpe, on the south coast of Western Australia, and only a few kilometres from the coastal village of Hopetoun.
Situated between the export ports of Esperance and Albany, the region is also renowned for its agriculture, particularly cropping and grazing, and its vibrant and growing tourism industry.
Mining has been an important contributor to the regional economy for more than a century. In 1898, the discovery of gold and copper at Phillips River Goldfields near Ravensthorpe provided the impetus for development of Hopetoun. Today, the world-class Ravensthorpe Nickel Mine and Mt Caitlin Lithium Mine are less than 25km from our Springdale tenements.

The Ravensthorpe area is also noted for its unique mineral-rich geology as well as its extensive flora and fauna. The Fitzgerald Biosphere, between Bremer Bay and Hopetoun, is the only UNESCO recognised biosphere in Western Australia and haven for a number of rare species.
As a newcomer to the area, International Graphite is looking forward to contributing to a bright future for this energetic and vibrant community.
