Exploration and drilling ramps up at Springdale

IG6 is has commissioned its first drilling campaign since listing with a 7,100 metres reverse circulation and diamond drilling program about to begin at the Springdale Graphite Project, in Western Australia.

Chairman Phil Hearse told Proactive Investor that IG6 expects to significantly expand its graphite resource with an exploration target of 18 to 54 million tonnes at 4% to 18% Total Graphite Content.

“This is the first drilling program we have initiated at Springdale and is part of our campaign to actively explore for new graphite targets,” Mr Hearse said. “Some really positive exploration targets have already been exposed and we think we have the opportunity to significantly expand our resource.”

The program aims to increase confidence in existing mineral resources from inferred to indicated status and to generate graphite samples for further metallurgical testwork and downstream battery anode testing.

IG6 is developing the operation at Springdale to produce graphite concentrates as primary feedstock for the company’s planned downstream processing facilities 450km away at Collie.
